Colombian mechanical engineer and entrepreneur. For more than four decades he has built technology, cable television and content companies in Colombia and Latin America.
Juan Gonzalo Angel Restrepo has been President and CEO of Global Media Telecomunicaciones S.A. since 2007. There he has created cable television channels with a presence across Latin America and Spain, including TvAgro, focused on agriculture, and Cablenoticias, a 24-hour news channel.
He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Colombia. He founded Makrómputo, which became the largest Microsoft distributor in Latin America, and Cablepacífico, which became the leading cable TV provider in Colombia.
TvAgro is a channel devoted to the countryside: farming, cattle, crops, rural entrepreneurship and the people who work the land. On YouTube it has more than 2.4 million subscribers and over 11,700 videos.
Colbufalos is Juan Gonzalo Angel's water buffalo breeding and production company.
